When I was in Hawaii on the big Island with my family, we met a bone carver named Ben. He was a traditional Maori carver and his pieces were incredibly inspiring. I guess that was when the first seed was planted. In a whirlwind of convergence, all the pieces came together and I began the journey of bone carving myself. It's a nice break from painting; I really like the process of subtractive sculpture. Until such time as indicated, these are all cow bone and ordered from most recently completed.
